Antelope Incorporated?

A collection of community atrocities have recently come to our attention.

Last week, our neighbors decided to paint the exterior of their house, which seemed like a great idea until we saw the color of choice. I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt ... perhaps the color looked much different on the swatch. Had they bothered to turn the swatch over, I'm sure they would've reconsidered when seeing the color title, "orange creamsicle."

Meanwhile, another neighbor decided it'd be nice to put a bunch of junk in her driveway. At one point the pile was spewing onto the street. It has been there for about three weeks. As of last Sunday it is contained in her driveway. Those trash cans better be full.

Next, do they love Easter eggs? Were they drunk? Or, are the swatches so misleading? We may never know. And I'm sure we'll never understand why the creamsicle family has decided to follow their lead.

And, finally, let us introduce a rental property that has been in dire need of many upgrades since we moved here three years ago. Actually, this pic was taken on a good day ... usually the "grass" is at least 12 inches tall. The neighbor living next door mowed it for them; probably a few days prior. We all take turns.

At first, we were feeling quite embarrassed of our little community ... but then we figured we'd better make the best of it and have a good laugh. Nah, that's not true — we're still embarrassed.
